Happy Thanksgiving everyone! My question is -- why can't every day be Thanksgiving (without the big meal, though)? These past few months I've turned to gratitude as a daily practice rather than something to focus on only one day per year. I have so much to be grateful for that it can't be contained in just one day. My deepest hope is that you can say the same. So much attention is placed on the negative these days. Why not take some time out each day to recognize -- and savor -- the good?
I'd like to do that now -- I am so very grateful for each and every one of you reading this post and all the other posts that I write. Writing this blog isn't about me blathering on about self-serving nonsense -- it's about being of service. My hope is that you find something of value here, maybe even something that changes your life for the better. And in the spirit of Thanksgiving, I offer you these Thanksgiving treats:
My yoga column in this month's Green Monkey focused on -- what else? -- expressing gratitude through yoga. I suppose you could call it my Thanksgiving message. Click here to read it. We all stuff ourselves with food on Thanksgiving, but Christine Arylo offers up a wonderful alternative on her blog -- filling yourself up with love. Click here to read Christine's 3 ways to fill yourself up with love.Sometimes the holidays bring something other than comfort and joy with them. Many people find the holidays to be a time filled with stress. Here's a quick, 2-minute Kundalini stress buster release that will take the edge off and chill you out instantly. Wishing for peace this holiday season? Check out this wonderful -- and uplifting -- video of NYC yogis gathering together with the collective intention of creating more peace and happiness in the world. Beautiful!Since today's theme is giving thanks, check out this fabulous blog post on how to say thank you in 50 languages.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! May you live in gratitude. May you always have things/people to be grateful for. May you have a blessed Thanksgiving.
Namaste!

Great post, thanks for all the reminders to be thankful for our health and abundance. We forget, but with each breath - we can remember. Peace.

It's so easy to get caught up in thinking about what we don't have.
I write a post every Sunday about the things I'm grateful for, even if they're just small - I find sitting down and thinking about everyday wonders reminds me that I am actually quite blessed! We all are.
Happy Thanksgiving x
